Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Greg Maaswinkel’s journey to the United States began as part of “Operation Babylift.” He grew up in the Philadelphia area, eventually earning his degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1993. His legal aspirations led him to Florida State University College of Law, where he obtained his law degree in 1997, becoming licensed to practice law in Florida that same year.
Greg commenced his legal career with the Florida Department of Insurance (now the Florida Department of Financial Services), where he gained invaluable experience prosecuting insurance agents and agencies for code violations and investigating organized crime within warranty schemes.
Later, Greg transitioned to an insurance defense law firm in Orlando, representing large corporations, insurance companies, and governmental entities across Florida against personal injury claims. This extensive experience provided him with an unparalleled understanding of how insurance companies evaluate, defend, and settle lawsuits.
Today, as a dedicated Personal Injury Lawyer in Orlando, Greg Maaswinkel leverages his deep insider knowledge of insurance defense tactics to aggressively advocate for his injured clients. He is a formidable opponent for those who seek to deny fair compensation.
Greg is an active member of the Florida Bar Association, U.S. Federal Courts Middle District of Florida, Florida Justice Association, Central Florida Trial Lawyers Association, Asian Bar Association, National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, Asian Chamber of Commerce, and Orlando Chamber of Commerce.
